Summary
Tuk-Palteia Liam has survived the front lines of a civil war and a return visit to his home planet, but now he has to face the ultimate obstacle. Stubborn lovers.
As long as Liam and Ondry have the same goals - the pursuit of profits and status - they are the perfect partnership. But now Ondry wants to protect his palteia at any cost, even if it costs him his newly won rank. Liam hates the idea of Ondry sacrificing for him, and he is not going to allow Ondry to lose status under any circumstances. Add in the Imshee, a predatory companion animal, a new human, and an obstinate Grandmother, and Liam has the recipe for a serious headache. Despite what Ondry believes, not all problems can be solved with a good trade, a tail, or a flash of tooth. This time, Liam and Ondry are going to need to find a compromise.
Contains mature themes.

Great series
Another great addition to this series. Liked how the relationship between Ondry and Liam matured - with the irritations and misunderstandings giving depth while never undermining the love. Perfect marriage of book and narrator.

wonderful series
I waited until I had read all the books in the series ( which I completely devoured ) before writing a review . I absolutely loved this slightly odd but charming series of books. The character development , warmth and humour of the characters shines through and your interest is easily held by the author slowly revealing the complexity of the human/ Rownt universe upon which the series is set. There are descriptions of sex within these books but not its main focus and does not detract from the plot at all. I do so hope there are future books in this series as i have become quite attached to Ondry and Liam and I am desperate to find out what happens next.

Wonderful book!
Another great book in this series! I loved the characters and their development. What a wonderful journey they went through. I really enjoyed following it. And the narrator was as always brilliant.

A quirky and lovely series
I love this series. The different cultures and nuances of alien language (both body and verbal) are very well developed. What I thought was an unlikely, but intriguing, sort of romance at the start, felt totally right by the end. John Solo as narrator is a master at voice characterisation, and reinforces the personality of each species or individual perfectly.

Great book!
I really enjoyed the book. It was as good as the other books in the series. I liked all of the characters and each added something interesting to the story. The narrator did a good job with the characters, bringing each one to life. I wish there were more audio books in the series but I have seen at least two others in the claimings universe in print so I will read them on Kindle. This is such an interesting series, I wish there were several other books about Liam and Ondry.

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!
Ondry and Liam got their happy ending but to get there they actually had a fight!! You could have knocked me down with a feather but yes, the writing explored an established couple working through their differences. Rest assured though that Expeditions is charming, upbeat, loving and with touches of wry humour. The Imshee were worth the four book wait and eeeewwww?!!? The character work, plot development, world-building, love for language, imaginative science fiction and a romantic HEA are perfectly realised and concluded: I am very satisfied.
🎧 John Solo made the Imshee sound strange, malignant, intimidating and more alien than the Rownt! A high water mark was an inter-species conference between the Imshee | Grandmother | Liam. Mr. Solo held characterisation and then blessed us with the rapid, robotic, high pitched nasal twang of the Imshee vs the modulated, deeper register and slower cadence of the Grandmother vs Liam with his smooth baritone and diplomatic tone!! Bravo, Mr Solo! That was incredible! Yet, there was so much more than vocal delivery in JS's narration – he understood the story being told and its themes: nothing was forced or unnatural or jarred. A wonderful performance!
