About this listen
Roman "Quick" Webb is one badass bounty hunter on the crime-filled streets of Atlanta. He's fearless when it comes to carrying out his dangerous job alongside his longtime best friend and business partner, Duke. However, there is one thing that has begun to cause Quick concern and it's the dreadful thought of living out the rest of his life alone.
Dr. Cayson Chauncey has been wildly attracted to the big, tattooed hunter for almost a year, ever since he performed the surgery that saved Quick's best friend's life. Cayson must've mistaken Quick's gratitude for something more, because the one time he tried to make his desires known, he was harshly rebuffed and left on the man's doorstep feeling stupid for hitting on an obviously very straight man.
Dr. Chauncey stirred up Quick's suppressed, most carnal desires from a place deep down inside of him. He'd reacted so badly the first time that now his sexy surgeon wanted nothing to do with him. It was going to take a fair amount of patience and a whole lot of wooing involved as Quick sets out to convince Cayson that he's worth another chance and that he is the brave lover who Cayson has been looking for.
Contains mature themes.

more then 5*
The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Aiden Snow is one of the top 5 narrators (so far) for me to follow and I hope to get a lot more books from him. And really, his SEXY and DEEP RUMBLING VOICE is something you DON'T want to miss!!
I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Another Masterpiece from the Via/Snow Dreamteam
I've read all of Ms Via's books & am delighted with the extra dimesion Aiden Snow's narration brings every time!
In Promises II, Quick & Cayson's developing relationship & the circumstances in which they find themselves are brought to life with the passion & intensity the frequently action - packed, often emotional & totally hot story demands.
Can't wait for the next installment!

Lived up to its.....Promises
I am totally addicted to A.E. Via's Nothing Special series on Audible.
Now I am hooked on Promises: Bounty Hunters!
I have not previously read the stories in book/kindle format so these stories are all new to me and I LOVE them. Promises Part 1's story line was not as quite as enjoyable as Part 2. Quick and Caysons relationship is much more enjoyable and the suspense elements revolving around Doctor Joe had me on the edge of my seat.
As always the top quality narration by Aiden Snow really brings these characters to life.
10/10

Good listen with minor complaints
This was the second installment of the Bounty Hunters series. It was Roman aka Quick and Cayson's story. I appreciated Roman's transformation—shedding his ego when he finally decided to gain perspective and woo Cayson. He wasn't ashamed or proud to take relationship advice from his friend and son. He apologised properly to Cayson and made sure to treat him with the love and respect he deserved. I didn't appreciate how Roman provoked Joe in the beginning, even though Joe was already a nasty piece of work and continued to deteriorate into an even more despicable and deplorable person. I wish he had given a little bit more consideration to how it may affect Cayson. I also wish he hadn't called Joe 'Anna' as it felt a bit misogynistic and bullish.
One more thing I didn't care for was the Detective God and Day's behaviour. They acted like arrogant jerks for no reason.
Overall it was a good listen and I enjoyed it.
🎧 Aiden Snow was great in this book as well.

Who writes these things?
Yeah it was okay until, one of the characters said something along the lines of "I'm going to call you Ana like the bitch you are". The misogyny really just jumped out and considering it's most likely a woman or women that wrote this book, it's extra gross. Also, masculine watches? This is just giving me "just because we're gay/bi doesn't mean we aren't still manly men" vibes and I can't. About 60% in and I will not be completing this book. I tried and it's a no. Maybe It's because I'm older now or maybe it's because it's 2021 but, I can't switch off my brain long enough to finish this. Great narration though. A+ for that.
