About this listen
Warm up by the fire with this sweet holiday treat.
Chase Kalinowski: Coffee Shop Owner and Former Army Ranger
Chase owns Double Shot, a coffee shop that looks out onto the courtyard of New Gothenburg's mall. His job is great, with the exception of Christmastime. Each year, all hell breaks loose in Santa Land, directly outside of his store. The holiday rush keeps Double Shot in business, but the crowd always leaves Chase, a scarred former Army Ranger, surlier than usual.
This year, however, there is a treat Chase didn't anticipate in Santa Land, in the form of a sassy little blond elf he can't rip his gaze from. Chase can tell the elf is a brat from their first interaction, and he wants nothing more than to turn the blond over his knee and spank some manners into him.
Lyndon Hollis: Brat Extraordinaire
Lyn has had a bad month, and it's about to become even worse. He can just sense that this job as a mall elf is going to disappear long before he can find a new one because everything goes wrong from day one. The final straw? A huge, scary - yeah, okay fine, beefcake - coffee guy manages to dump drinks all over his elf costume.
Lyn rants, says a bunch of things he shouldn't, and eventually feels remorse for his outburst, but what will it take to get Chase Kalinowski to forgive him? More importantly, Lyn can't figure out why he cares so much.
This holiday novelette is full of steamy hot coffee and one bratty elf. Happy holidays!

as good as the ebook
The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:

it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

Sweet & Hot & So Funny!
What a sweet story about a first time D/s relationship!
Santa’s Bratty Elf has a nice age-gap with the older, experienced Dom showing a first timer the ropes. The “bratty elf” in this one is a snarky, slightly wounded, young guy who desperately needs some love, and a bit of discipline, in his life. Ki Brightly establishes fantastic chemistry between these two, and I only wish the story was longer!
Brightly’s humor comes through loud and clear, and they add a fresh and creative spin on one of my favorite tropes. I highly recommend this one.
New to me narrator, Gabriel Amari, does a marvelous job. The sweet voice he uses for the twinky Christmas elf is adorable, and the gruff, growly ex-Army Ranger hits all the right notes. Bonus: the side characters voices had me chucking and added so much to the light-hearted humor of the story.

Fun short story
Talk about true brats! Lyn was definitely one 🙂 He's a fun character, though he could do with a lesson in manners. That's where Chase comes in - in more ways than one 😉
Gabriel Amari is new to me - he was good overall, though I really liked how he portrayed Lyn. This was a pleasant way to experience the story .

Short, sweet and a fair bit sassy!!
Wow! Such a sassy and steamy little read with so much packed into this novella!
I enjoyed the heat and crackle between Chase and Lyn. Their connection was fun to watch unfold and so hot! I felt there was good depth of character for both of these guys and a good background was given for such a short story. I wanted more. more of their connection, more steamy discipline and I wanted more insight into their burgeoning relationship but what we're given was a great and sexy treat. I loved the wit too and great narration!!!
