Adam Miron is one of less than a hundred Canadians to have started a business and lived to see it become worth more than a billion dollars. 6 years after co-founding a billion-dollar startup ($2.9B April 2019) Adam retired at the age of 35 in 2019. Adam continues to play a leadership role on the board of the company he co-founded, HEXO Corp. Adam is also Chairman and investor in the digital asset custody startup, Brane Inc. Passionate about start-ups and taking ideas to profitability, Adam is turning his focus to investing in high-risk early-stage startups where he plays a supporting role. To date, he has invested in everything from micro-financing to furniture to movies and music to blockchain to literature to media to fashion. A natural and gifted raconteur, he has addressed audiences at more than 100 events across North America, with several international keynotes planned for 2020 and receives more than a million impressions a year across his platforms. Adam has deep experience running national marketing campaigns such as the nationally celebrated and award-winning marketing campaign called the Never Jaded Tour. The $15 million-dollar, national project recruited high profile talent such as Our Lady Peace, Tristan Eaton, Matty Matheson, Fetty Wap, 88 Glam, DVSN and Wu-Tang Clan. Adam has also been successful in having his products and brands appear with A-list celebrities everywhere from Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel to NPR’s Tiny Desk Performances. Adam is also a well-known public figure in politics and media circles. He served as the National Director for the Liberal Party of Canada’s Federal Commissions and had been a political consultant in North Africa and Asia. Some of Adam’s media past ventures include creating and launching online news services in 14 countries and co-creating iPolitics, Canada’s largest independent newspaper which sold to the Toronto Star in 2019. In 2019 Adam was named Entrepreneur in Residence at Thompson Rivers University, the largest business school in Western Canada where he works with faculty, students, and entrepreneurs in the community. He also sits on the board of a number of companies from small start-ups to multi-million dollar corporations and is an active investor in a number of other start-ups.
