I had already made up my mind to become an author ever since I started college; getting a job was something I could always fall back on. I have a master’s degree in engineering technology, however, the working world is very complicated. I’ve sacrificed too much to end up at the bottom of the barrel with everyone else - fighting for the scraps leftover by others. I learned very early that engineers hardly ever end up driving super cars; they may create them, but they don’t own them. I studied the pros and cons of becoming an author (writing books) and learned that authors must sacrifice. I love to write, so writing is easy. However, the difficulty is in the writing process, because you can become so caught up in the world that you are creating in your mind, that you tend to forget that you are living in the real world. There are days when all you want to do is write, and you don’t want to do anything else; and then there are days when you don’t want to write anything at all, these are the two worlds that most authors live in. We live in the world we create in our mind. I didn’t want my dream of becoming a successful author becomes this never-ending task: that I’ll start my story but won’t ever make it to the ending.
