Anthony Whyte has been writing to be the greatest novelist alive. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica 11 Jan 67. Whyte grew up in the Bronx N.Y. Whyte was educated at Lehman College in the Bronx and joined the army where he lived in Germany, Italy and England. Whyte left the Army after serving in Desert Storm. Anthony Whyte worked as a caseworker for Administration of Children Services and attended NYU School for Continuing Education. 1995 While at NYU, he met Professor Susan Shapiro who introduced him to The Tuesday Night Writer's Workshop. He became a permanent member. In 1996, Whyte wrote the groundbreaking novel, Ghetto Falsehoods. The novel was released in 2002 with a new title, Ghetto Girls by Black Print Publishing. After a stint on the Essence Bestsellers list, In 2004, Whyte formed Augustus Publishing, an independent publishing house with business partner and friend, Jason Claiborne. Augustus Publishing has been successful in publishing over forty titles to date. Augustus Publishing also holds two imprints, both are non fiction. Uptown Books and Vibe books. Anthony Whyte not only writes but also splits duties as an editor, talent scout, and CEO for Augustus Publishing.
