Born in Springfield Ma, Arlene spent most of her young years up north but as a young teenager her family moved to Orlando Florida just ahead of the theme park openings. Her father joined as a cast member and this opportunity afforded Arlene access to the magical world of stories and dreams. Arlene earned advance insurance degrees from the American College in Bryn, Mawr Pennsylvania and spent twenty years working for a large fortune 500 insurance carrier. When opportunity knocked, Arlene leaped at a chance to start her own insurance agency serving customers in the Orlando Florida area. Her business is now in its’ twenty fifth year and three of her four children and husband work in the family business. She is a grandmother of six and the proud owner of two little funny sibling dogs, Penny and Lacy. The love of family and the desire to share the funny stories surrounding dog ownership with children and their parents fueled her to write the Antics of Lacy and Penny. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, she values hard work and has found creative writing to be an excellent outlet for a very active life. Arlene hopes to earn a place in her reader’s heart by bringing to life the joys and troubles of puppy ownership while weaving the benefit of the family bond, the awareness of sibling rivalry, the need for safe boundaries and the consequences of good and bad life decisions. Through the lens of her puppies, she created a mirror universe for people to see the value of family, the importance of perseverance, the hope of a brighter tomorrow and satisfaction of knowing the significance of unconditional love.
