Canaan McDonald has a background in sales and property, working for estate agents across London and also working for a video advertising company, he also worked as a West Indian baker producing bread for supermarkets Sainsbury’s and Tesco. Passionate about football, Canaan’s son was also a big lover of football. It was while taking his son football practice and becoming a part of grassroots football that he started to notice disturbing practices in grassroots football. Children not being developed properly when they had been with a coach for years. Becoming a professional footballer is incredibly difficult and Canaan was seeing the development of children being destroyed. If they wanted to take it serious later on in life, their development would be so far behind. What he was seeing bothered him so much he decided to write a book and My Son wants to be a footballer, was born. A new author Canaan really loves writing and has a new energy to write and produce more books. Father of three and a grandfather he is a devoted family man and loves to travel. Canaan wants to continue spreading the message to enlighten parents when it comes to the development of their children in grassroots football.
