Carole Declercq was born on October 7, 1970 and lives in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Her first novel, Ce qui ne nous tue pas, released in 2015, was a great success. Since then she has written other novels that have as a backdrop history. In 2020, she initiated a series of detective novels with Enquête étrusque au Louvre, which features an intrepid art historian and an English bookseller struggling with art trafficking. Having become an author by Eyrolles, she embarked on the ambitious project of writing a historic saga in four volumes, Les Désobéissantes. She was the winner of the 2022 Cezam Prize for Les enfants d'Ulysses published by La Trace. Instagram account @caroledeclercq07
