Chelsea Blankenship is an Oklahoma-native writer of Scandinavian, Scotch-Irish and Cherokee Native American Indian descent. Growing up in a small town just outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma, her passion for writing came early on in life, making English and Literature her favorite subjects in school, greatly excelling in both. Her passion and dedication to her studies earned her dual national honors, receiving spots in both the National Honor and Vocational Honor Societies throughout the course of her education. Though new to publishing her work, Chelsea has several projects already in the works, with some of her writings inspired by difficult and tumultuous times she has overcome in life. Chelsea resides with her husband, Brandon (m. 2007), along with their pets. She is very outgoing, having the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, making it no surprise that she never meets a stranger. She currently has multiple nieces and nephews (and counting) that she enjoys spending time with, as well as the rest of her family and friends. She also enjoys learning new things, delving into her ancestry/genealogy, researching topics she finds intriguing, spending time with her husband and cuddling with their pets, arts/crafts, singing/songwriting, cooking, and of course, writing. Being a cancer survivor of an accidentally-discovered cancer diagnosis, she finds it important to raise awareness and encourages everyone to get routine physical exams and blood/lab work.
