Before becoming an author, Clif Edwards’ professional life was as a law enforcement officer. After retiring from the Michigan State Police at the rank of detective lieutenant, he served as a municipal police officer, and then 14 seasons as a protection ranger (LEO/EMS/SAR/WFF) with the National Park Service. From city to wilderness, from patrol to undercover, from surveilling criminals from a vehicle to tracking them with his police dog, to saving lives to taking lives, and most everything in between, few have written so vividly about these diverse frontline experiences.
