D.A. Rhine grew up in Western Pennsylvania and now lives in Maryland with her two children, mortal husband, and one fluffy cat. The paranormal and Ireland have always fascinated her. Whether writing poems, short stories, or novels, writing has been an important part of her life. Vampires of the Chesapeake: Kian MacTiernan is her first published novel. It is the first book in a series, which takes place in the Chesapeake Bay area. Each novel will feature a different vampire with a unique challenge and a new steamy relationship. Kian, is an Irishman who battles balancing his desire to love and share his life with Darcy with his need to maintain secrets that threaten to simultaneously destroy his relationship with her. In the next book in the series, Vampires of the Chesapeake, Rees Morgan, a Welshman, and a male escort employed by Kian MacTiernan, finds himself jaded by women, until he meets, a widow, with two young boys. Perhaps she may be able to peel away the layers from Rees to reveal the gentle soul that lies beneath. In between writing novels, Mrs. Rhine paints, knits, and chauffeurs her children to and from violin lessons, school, and soccer camp. She also enjoys backwoods camping, cycling, canoeing, and boating.
