Growing up in small towns in the Midwest, she and her family experienced the best and worst in people and her memories come from the best of them. Her books are filled with bits and pieces of stories and people from all of those memories. If you think they are too good to be true, you haven't met the real people who fill rural communities throughout the Midwest. Diane's family operated a small printing shop in Omaha for over twenty years. After it closed, she began to hide out in a family cabin in Iowa to get her Master's Degree and focus on writing. While there, she rediscovered how honest and caring the people were, reminding her of a life she'd forgotten in the city. Neighbors who watch out for each other, business people who believe in honesty before money and people who truly put others before themselves. Thank you for visiting my page.
