Chaplain Jimenez has been an officer of Marines, then a chaplain to Marines, then a VA chaplain to Veterans. While working with Veterans who had PTSD, which was often masked by substance abuse, he looked at the treatment options then available, but found they did not seem complete. They did not fully address areas such as guilt, shame, forgiveness, and identity. These areas are theological in nature, which he felt needed a theological approach. After years of research, this book is the result.
