Edo van Belkom is the author of some 35 books and more than 250 short stories in the genres of Horror, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Mystery and Erotica. Most recently, his young adult series, WOLF PACK (a winner of both the Aurora and Silver Birch Awards) provided the inspiration for the Paramount + TV series WOLF PACK, starring Sarah Michele Gellar and produced by Jeff Davis, creator of the TEEN WOLF and CRIMINAL MINDS TV series. Other novels include SCREAM QUEEN, BLOOD ROAD, MARTYRS, TEETH, KILGORE AND CO. and BATTLE DRAGON. In addition, he has also penned several novels based on role-playing games, such as WYRM WOLF, LORD SOTH, MISTER MAGICK and ARMY OF THE DEAD. His short fiction has been published in two collections, DEATH DRIVES A SEMI (recently reprinted in a 25th anniversary edition), and SIX-INCH SPIKES, a book of erotic horror stories. Edo's short fiction has won the Bram Stoker Award, "Rat Food', the Aurora Award, "Hockey's Night in Canada, and a TWNA (called a Tuna, from the Truck Writers of North America) for his story, "Special Delivery," which was published in TRUCK NEWS MAGAZINE. Individually, his short stories can be found in countless anthologies, such as YEAR'S BEST HORROR STORIES, YEAR'S BEST EROTICA. the HOT BLOOD SERIES, SHOCK ROCK 2, NORTHERN FRIGHTS, ROBERT BLOCH'S PSYCHOS and others. Speaking of TRUCK NEWS MAGAZINE, Edo wrote an on-going serial story about a truck-driving detective for the publication which featured a chapter every month for 15 years encompassing 55 short stories in the MARK DALTON: OWNER/OPERATOR series. That series spawned two audiobook collections HIGHWAY ROBBERY AND OTHER STORIES, and REEFER MADNESS AND OTHER STORIES. In addition, Edo wrote three full novels featuring the character for Natural Resources Canada (a ministry of the Canadian Government) which were used to teach long-haul truck drivers fuel efficient driving practices, SMARTDRIVER, TROUBLE LOAD, and ON ICE.. Finally, TRUCK NEWS also published a graphic-story serial, THE ADVENTURES OF NEWLAND TRANSPORT, which ran monthly for three years simultaneously with the Mark Dalton series. Edo has produced several books of non-fiction including the How-to writing books, WRITING HORROR and WRITING EROTICA, and a book of interviews with Canadian writers of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror, NORTHERN DREAMERS. His presence on social media spans several platforms including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, where his channel includes quirky videos from his days as a horror movie host on SCREAM TV, to WOLF PACK FACTS, video commentary on and about the WOLF PACK TV series.
