Hello, I am a science writer and broadcaster interested in the interplay between humans and the planetary environment. I have a chemistry degree and I write for newspapers and magazines, including The Guardian, The Times, Scientific American, New Scientist and Nature. I also write and present science docs for radio and television. In 2015, I was the first woman to win the Royal Society Science Book of the Year Prize for my debut, ADVENTURES IN THE ANTHROPOCENE: A Journey To The Heart Of The Planet We Made. My next book, about human cultural evolution, is TRANSCENDENCE: How Humans Evolved Through Fire, Language, Beauty And Time. My latest book, NOMAD CENTURY, is a manifesto for how migration will help us survive the climate crisis - and it details how we can manage it while restoring our planet to a liveable state. I currently live in London with my partner and children, where I dream of the tropics and blog at www.WanderingGaia.com
