HG Hicks, author of the Badass Divas to Inspire Your Little Lady Series HG Hicks grew up in the Redwood forests of Northern California, where the love of nature and wild places grew with her, filling her with the same sense of wonder and reverence for life that she had while earning her Bachelors of Arts in History from Arizona State University. An advocate for human, animal and environmental rights, HG Hicks uses her writings to help the younger audience to truly understand that they, too, can help bring the world into balance through their compassionate participation in the world. She was the recipient of the Mimi Ritenhour Servant Leadership Scholarship in 2003 and served as a Community Service Initiative Project Member in AmeriCorps. HG Hicks is also working towards a Master of Arts Degree in Social Impact.
