Hannah Mayer is a PhD Fellow at Harvard Business School and part of the Laboratory for Innovation Science at Harvard (LISH), where she studies digital transformation and AI-powered business models. She co-authored the book "The Digital Transformer's Dilemma", which explores how traditional organizations can build up disruptive, digital businesses while also digitizing their core. Beyond digital transformation, her research interests extend to (digital) business ecosystems – an area she explored as part of her doctoral studies, which she completed at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland). Previously, she spent 2+ years as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company, specializing in digital transformation, digital skill building and digital marketing projects. Prior to that, Hannah worked at Google as a Digital Strategist, helping media agencies optimize their digital strategies. In addition to her PhD, Hannah holds masters degrees from Queen's University (Canada) and the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria).
