J.B. Rivard’s latest novel is DEAD HEAT TO DESTINY, in which the lives and loves of three young people are imperiled during the turmoil of the First World War. Rivard is a graduate of the University of Florida and served in the U.S. Navy at the Naval Air Training Command in Pensacola. Past employment includes newspaper reporting and feature writing for WorkBoat magazine. J.B. is retired from a career as a nuclear reactor specialist at a U.S. National Laboratory. Rivard’s book LOW ON GAS--HIGH ON SKY is the true story of Nick Mamer’s record-setting flight in 1929—winner of a Reader Views Literary Award in 2019. Other historical publications include articles on World War I, nuclear testing, and aviation. He is also an award-winning artist and illustrator. Rivard lives in Arizona. His previous novels include ILLUSIONS OF MAGIC (2015) and DANGEROUS PARALLEL (2021).
