Jake is a television presenter, podcaster, author and businessman who is one of the most respected sports broadcasters in the UK. Having joined CBBC in 2001, by 2005 he was hosting Sportsround, covering major international sporting events such as the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, the World Cup from Germany and the Cricket World Cup from Antigua. In 2006 he also started working with BBC Sport, presenting Football Focus, Final Score and becoming the youngest ever host of Match of the Day. In 2009, he fronted the BBC’s highly successful and award-winning F1 coverage where he remained for 4 years. In 2012, his final year with BBC Sport, he also hosted The 2012 Euros and the London Olympics. Jake joined BT Sport at the start of the 2013/2014 season as the face of BT Sports Premier League coverage. He went on to front their Champions League fixtures until 2023, covering Champions League games and finals. In 2011, he co-founded Whisper, one of Europe’s fastest growing independent production companies with over 100 staff. He remains heavily involved with growing the business. In 2020 Jake began recording The High Performance Podcast, offering an intimate glimpse into the lives of high-achieving, successful individuals. The chart-topping podcast has since grown into a successful brand also delivering content world-wide through social channels, live shows, books and corporate work. He has spoken to audiences worldwide, sharing his insights and wisdom with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and students. Off screen, Jake is passionate about contributing to the community through charity work. He is Chairman of Norwich Community Sports Foundation and Vice President of Young Lives vs. Cancer. In 2020, Jake was approved by the Queen to be a Deputy Lieutenant of Norfolk. He was chosen to become one of LinkedIn’s first influencers.
