With a lifelong love of books, television, and movies, it was only a matter of time until I wrote a novel. As a Pennsylvania native, I decided to set much of my debut thriller, Death Dealt the Hand, in Central PA. What was a surprise was having the my novel ranked one of the Top Ten Books in its year of release by Megalith Book Reviews! Because Death Dealt the Hand is published by Gryphonwood Press, I'm a member of International Thriller Writers. This is quite a thrill for me because many of my favorite contemporary authors are also members, for example: James Rollins, David Morrell, and Eric Van Lustbader. You may also have noticed some influence from Ian Fleming, Robert Ludlum, and, in my horror, Richard Matheson. My first professionally published work was the short story "Operation: Desert Destroyer," which was included in Warren Murphy's anthology Destroyer World: New Blood. My most recently published story is "Hell on Earth," included in Dark Places - A Gryphonwood Anthology. Current projects include the second Trevor Byrne novel, Collector of Souls.
