Jon Evans was born in Portsmouth, England and has worked in a fabulously dull series of jobs, none of which constitute a career. While doing these jobs the dream was always to become a writer and there were many false starts and unfinished projects. He now lives in Cardiff, where his surname fools people into thinking he might be a local. With his brother James, he has co-authored four military sci-fi books in the Royal Marine Space Commandos universe. The first three books, Commando, Guerrilla and Ascendant focus on the efforts of the Marines to defend a colony world from alien invasion. In Gunboat, the Marines are aboard HMS Ascendant supporting the Royal Navy and their missions against their lethal enemy. The fifth book, Dreadnought, will be out in early 2019 and the first audiobooks will be out at the end of January. You can follow the series at imaginarybrother.com the publishing company for the series. Jon is also writing The Edrin Loft Mysteries, which will be an ongoing renaissance fantasy series based in Kalider, once the capital city of what is now known as The Shattered Empire. Once the series is well underway, it will be followed by an epic fantasy series which will deal with events on the macro scale, affecting the whole Shattered Empire. The series kicks off with, Thieftaker, and explores the life and adventures of a group of outsiders, assigned to the least desirable Watch posting in their city. Captain Edrin Loft has plans to revolutionise the City Watch of Kalider and must prove his methods if he's to make headway. The Thieftakers are a rough bunch of misfits, whose only role is to chase the very dregs of society, where other members of the Watch fear to go. You can follow Jon's work at www.jonevansbooks.com
