Karen M. Tidwell was born in 1977 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and has lived here all her life. She received her four-year degree in 2008, and after having her first child began to pursue her childhood dream of writing. She also had several poems published when she was in high school, but The Boyfriend is her debut novel. She is currently working on book number two, titled The Hidden, while working full time, raising a four-year old, and planning a wedding...her own.
