Kyra Cornelius Kramer is a freelance academic and author who hates writing about herself in the third person, with BS degrees in both biology and anthropology from the University of Kentucky, as well as a MA in medical anthropology from Southern Methodist University. She has published a fictional novel, Mansfield Parsonage, but is better known for her nonfiction books, Blood Will Tell: A Medical Explanation for the Tyranny of Henry VIII and The Jezebel Effect:Why the Slut Shaming of Famous Queens Still Matters. She has also published several academic works in magazines and peer-reviewed journals, including the Historical Journal (Cambridge), Studies in Gothic Fiction, the Journal of Popular Romance Studies, and Tudor Life Magazine. Ms. Kramer lives in Wales with her cutie-pie husband, two wonderful daughters, amazing transgender son, and assorted rescue dogs who are weird-looking but lovable.
