At her core, Layla Sabourian is a storyteller, a nomad, and a fierce advocate for equity. Born into the tumultuous Iranian Revolution, Layla flipped the script to fuel her inner fire. She set a precedent that would pave the way for a new social model where inclusivity and diversity are the norm.  Relentless in her quest to accomplish her mission, Layla strives to build safe, inclusive environments for all. She is the co-founder of FairFunders, an advisor at the Women’s Startup Lab, and the founder and CEO of Chef Koochooloo, an educational software platform that encourages interdisciplinary, intercultural STEAM learning for children through cooking lessons. In her extensive personal and professional experience, one unifying truth shines through: Layla Sabourian is the woman her younger self could have only dreamt of being. She continuously shares that dream with the world in a valiant effort to educate, enlighten, and inspire others to be their best and make a positive difference. Her childhood experiences inform and shape her various creative works, and she hopes to use them to help children develop better cultural and emotional awareness as they learn to understand and improve the big, beautiful world around them.
