Most recently, McCabe wrote and published "A Christmas Love Story: Nicholas Nutcracker & Brittany Ballerina." After watching Hallmark Christmas movies more times than she cares to admit, she reached maximum "Christmas Spirit" saturation by the end of December. When she was ready to put her own Christmas ornaments away, Maureen discovered some cute Christmas clipart. An idea for a Christmas book for kids revealed itself from the clipart. During the crafting of the story, Maureen felt child-like joy imagining and writing. After she finished the story, McCabe enlisted an illustrator (Anastasiia ) and graphic designer (Lauren Gallegos) to bring the characters to life. Under photos, there is a free coloring page and paper doll sheet you can print out at home for the kids. In-the-works is "Murray Korman's Vintage Babes of Broadway" about publicity photographer, Murray Korman of NYC, who captured some of the most famous entertainers in the United States for nearly three decades from the 1930s to 1961. Betty Grable. Loretta Young. Eve Arden. Vivian Vance. Ann Miller. Julie Newmar. Bob Hope and a bevy of Broadway showgirls. History lovers will enjoy this walk down Broadway! In 2011, Maureen self-published a book entitled "Moon Over Vaudeville" which took a nostalgic look at her father's show business career as a tap dancer. Soon, Maureen, husband, and mini-aussie Scout will move back to Orange County, California. They've enjoyed living in Colorado and Washington state the past seventeen years. But, the Pacific Ocean calls to them!
