Olive Rigby was born on the 7th December,1940. A war baby. Olive was one of five siblings. She got her first job at 14 to support her family to survive, and worked hard at home and at school. Olive met her partner on the bus to the seaside, and began to spend a lot of time with him. He didn’t speak English so he learned from her. Together they had 2 children, 3 grandchildren, and a happy life filled with love. Olive sadly passed away in 2014. She always inspired me to do better for myself, and encouraged me to study, find my passion and stick to it. This is for you, Grandma.
