P. A. Staff is a science communicator and veterinary surgeon by day, writer by night. Growing up with a rare and unexplainable movement condition, known as Paroxysmal Kinesigenic Choreoathestosis, she now seeks to write stories featuring heroes with similar differences for the next generation – as well as her twelve-year-old self. A lover of literature, animals and adventure, she can usually be found at home in Norfolk reading, competing in equestrian sports up to national level, or exploring in her free time and has worked in charity and media-marketing sectors. Her debut middle-grade novel, CASANDER DARKBLOOM, will be published by Walker Books UK in November 2023.
