Hello. My name is Paul Otello and I am the author of “The Mental Game: Where the Real Game Lives.” I have been an avid golfer for most of my life. For a while, I became a scratch golfer and pursued the dream of possibly playing professionally on the PGA Tour. Although that did not happen, I have learned a lot along the journey. I have been fairly athletic throughout my life and love all sports. I enjoy the competition and the opportunity to play and display my talents and abilities in anything that I do. But there is something about golf that has intrigued me. It is unlike any other sport, and it is very unique. That had me diving deeper to discover what I can do to be the best player that I can be. Golf is more of a mental game. I believe most golfers everywhere see that as well. Although you need to have the physical ability to produce what is going on inside of yourself, it all starts with you. I have not found many people talking about how to play from a mental game perspective. The conversations are usually about the physical game and its mechanics. The physical aspects are important, and I do not take anything away from their importance, but I am looking to combine the mental game with the physical game. This is to help implement a methodology for how you can play from a mental game standpoint. There are infinite different ways to play the game. There is no one right way. But these are the aspects I have discovered that have made a real difference, not just for me, but for many players that I have taught as well. The purpose behind it all is to help you discover your inner abilities and be the best player that you can be. I thank you for taking the time to read this and allowing me the opportunity to possibly make a difference in some aspect your life. For me, that is what this is about.
