A native of Globe, Arizona, his passion for old mining towns and ghost towns inspires him to write. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his two sons and their dog in Denver. He listens to Finnish music because it speaks to him. R.K. named the RPG in the novel ‘Turba’ after the family’s pet hamster that passed away the day the novel was completed
