Rachel is the founder, owner, and principal animator of Blue Seat Studios. Rachel is a former researcher and an educator, having taught physiology, biology and math at both the high school and college level. She has a B.A. in Biology from Brown University and an M.Ed. in educational psychology. She is a lifelong artist who has worked in print illustration, design and graphic recording. Through writing books and making videos, Rachel has found a way to combine her love of making art with her passion for distilling complex concepts and using humor to educate people of all ages. She lives in Rhode Island with her children, dog, cat, snake, bunny and flock of chickens . When she's not animating, writing books, or feeding the horde, she might be kayaking out in the bay.
