Rob Barton is an author and musician who lives in a multigenerational home in Whitman, Massachusetts, with some of his children and grandchildren. He is the Director of Music Education at a performing arts center in Quincy, Massachusetts. He is also a multiple award-winning martial artist and master instructor who has spent many years researching numerous European martial traditions. He is a long-time Queer and human dignity activist who learned an aggressive form of activism as part of the Act Up generation. Most days, he can be found walking on the Boulevard by Hobart Pond. As an author of fiction, Rob writes fantasy and historical short stories and novels. As an author of activist nonfiction, Rob has written about LGBT issues and human rights for many years. As an academic author, Rob has written articles and essays about religious studies, alternative religions, and martial arts instruction for more than three decades.
