Robin Ray was born in Trinidad & Tobago and emigrated to America when he was 12 years old. His creative passions began when he was a kid in Trinidad where he made up the lyrics to songs that were never recorded or performed. In the U.S. he was introduced to rock music and subsequently wrote songs and played in bands. In college, encouraged by the success of having his poems placed in two editions of the school magazine, he self-published three books of poetry, drawings and short stories on his own Sound Off Press. Years of wandering and finding himself followed till he eventually settled down in Seattle where he started writing again. Picking up from where he left off, he currently finds himself creating works of fiction often in the formats of screenplays, short stories, novellas and the novel 'Commoner the Vagabond.'
