Ron Leshem is an author, published in 15 languages. He is also a screenwriter, who serves as an Executive Producer for HBO's drama series "Euphoria". Ron is a winner of the Sapir Prize, Israel's top literary award. His most recent novel, "When We Were Beautiful" (2019), is currently being translated to English by the acclaimed translator, Booker Prize Winner, Jessica Cohen. As a screenwriter, his works include "Euphoria", "Beaufort" (Academy Award-nominated Film), the upcoming Hulu & Arte series "No Man's Land", The film "Incitement" (Israeli Academy Award winner as the best film for 2019), and the drama "The Gordin Cell", adapted by NBC as "Allegiance". Ron served as a script editor for "Baker and the Beauty". As a TV drama executive, Ron picked up and oversaw the development of "Prisoners of War" (The original of "Homeland"), "The A-Word", Traffic Light", "Arab Labor", and many other shows. Based in Boston MA, he published the novels "Beaufort" (2005, aka "If There is a Heaven"), and "The Underground Bazzar" (2009, aka "Niloofar"). He started his career as a news editor and a war correspondent. He served as deputy editor in chief of the second-largest circulated daily newspaper in Israel at the time, and later vice president for the leading TV broadcaster in the country.
