I spent my early years in Breslau, East Germany during WW II. My dad was enlisted in the German Army and died in Russia in 1942. In 1945 Breslau was declared a military fortress and we were forced to flee the city. I lived with my grandmother for a few years who instilled in me a sense of pride, ambition and work ethics which helped me in my later years. In 1955 I immigrated with my husband to the United States to start a new life. The marriage lasted eight years, and I remarried twice. Today, I am a widow and my life is full of new adventure. I visit Europe every year and love cruising in the Bahamas. My book is a flashback to my childhood in war-torn Germany. If you enjoyed it, I would like to hear from you.
