Ruby Dhal is a self-love content creator, speaker and bestselling author of 5 books of poetry, prose and bite-sized self-help. With a social media following of nearly 1 million, Ruby has access to readers all around the world. With millions of impressions on Instagram of her work each week, Ruby’s writing has found a home for itself with people everywhere. Since starting her page in January 2016, Ruby has gained tumultuous support from readers, well-known personalities and celebrities all around the world. In 2017, Ruby was only one of 7 South Asian women in the world to be featured in the Harper’s Bazaar India Writer Hotlist that year. Ruby’s interviews have featured in Ny Weekly, Times of India, CEO Medium, Yahoo, Verve Magazine, The Teal Mango, Disrupt, The Tempest, Divinc, Indian Women Blog, Livingly and Harper’s Bazaar, to name a few. She was also included in Untwine.me’s list of ‘100 Incredible Instapoets of 2018’. Ruby has written articles on healing, self-love, heartbreak, relationships, mental health, culture and feminism in various online magazines such as The Tempest, Thought Catalog, Indian Woman Blog and Vocal Creators Platform. Ruby has appeared in two YouTube documentaries and several podcasts. Ruby has been interviewed and performed at the BBC Asian Network and BBC Radio London. She has also performed at several open mic nights, charity events, schools, the Trafalgar Square and The British Museum, to name a few. In the long term, Ruby wants to finish her debut novel and write YA novels with POC as key characters, as well as perform a TED talk one day. Ruby believes that she has a story to tell, one that she hopes will impact the lives of people everywhere.
