Sharon Chapman was born in Knoxville, Tennessee where there are many small towns and an abundance of storytelling. Therefore, it wasn't unusual for one of Sharon’s passions to be writing stories and poetry to share with others. One of her poems was published in the “Timeless Voices, The International Library of Poetry”, pages 2 and 3. Several of her poems were musically composed into songs and copyrighted. Three of her published songs are “Does God Cry?”, “Faithful Friend”, and "Wrinkled Kids". Various methods of storytelling have been in her family for many generations. She penned stories of Appalachian days gone by through aged relatives. Now she shares them integrating her original poetry. When reading the stories, one might recognize Scottish and Irish ancestral traditions and cultures, culinary methods, and even the slang phrases blended into the Appalachian way of life. Sharon's grandchildren have been the inspiration for several of her children's books and there will be more details to write about as they grow into adulthood. She's also authored books of mystery and suspense.
