As a mom to three adopted children through the foster care system, God gave her the strength to get through the challenges that came with her children, who had been through so much at such young ages. This prompted Sonya to write her first book, reaching out to adoptive parents who may be going through what she had been through to inspire and give them information she had learned through her experiences. Now, Sonya continues to write, inspired by her love of Jesus. She and her husband have been married thirty- three years and enjoy life on the coast of Florida. She enjoys spending time with her family, including her three rescue dogs.
