Dr. Stephanie Benjamin is an award winning writer and emergency medicine physician. Her writing has been published in The New York Times, KevinMD, Annals of Emergency Medicine, Journal of the American Heart Association, and many other medical and non-medical venues. After Dr. Benjamin graduated from medical school, she moved to California for her emergency medicine residency at University of California San Francisco Fresno. She completed an EMS and Disaster Medicine Fellowship at University of California San Diego, and is currently EM/EMS faculty at UCSD. When not at work or writing, Dr. Benjamin can be found rock climbing, epee fencing, or at the beach with her husband Alex and their two Rottweilers.
