Stephanie Sparer has written for Thought Catalog, Hello Giggles and Heeb Magazine, amongst others. Despite being preoccupied with bows and a self-indulgent obsession with Woody Allen’s early films, Stephanie had her first book, entitled MAYBE I SHOULD DRINK MORE, published by Thought Catalog Books in 2013. When she is not writing, Stephanie plays no instruments, despite having exceptionally tactile hands that would do well with a ukulele. Instead, she chose to spend her time on more valiant pursuits, such as earning a B.A. degree in English from Arizona State University. Her honest and self-effacing essays manage to remain sincere in the face of embarrassment and capture the humor of a generation raised on NPR and turkey bacon. They accurately encapsulate the struggle of a strong, yet dainty, female writer struggling to become self-actualized in a world where no one is ever feminist enough.
