Will Davis spent the first quarter of his life growing up on a cattle ranch, riding horses for work and for fun. It was all about animals and nature and is to blame for his current vice of team roping. After two rewarding years in Germany as a missionary for his church, the next 35 years were enjoyed as a lawyer, connecting with juries and sparring with judges. His practice primarily involved representing a large academic medical center and its attending physicians, residents, and staff, defending medical malpractice cases. In his professional life, Will observed and participated in the exponential expansion and application of technology in medicine, law, and medical education, including clinical training. The next chapter of Will's life, now 10 plus years and counting, has allowed opportunity to immerse himself in current events, technology, and specifically artificial intelligence, including ethical issues yet to be addressed by society. The seemingly limitless benefits and unimaginable risks of injury and harm inherent in AI have driven Will to endless research and study. Will has the unique ability to guide his readers through the complexities of AI in terms and with examples that juries would understand coupled with authoritative references and sufficient technical detail and analysis to enlighten tech-savvy readers.
