Great book!
I got this book to share with my daughter who is thinking of going into teaching. This book is filled with great information and tips for new teachers. It's an account of what teachers need to be, from parents to their students rather than being their friends to learning and admitting that it's ok to fail sometimes and cry! you cannot be perfect all the time. The stress and the workload can be overwhelming so making sure you don't hold yourself accountable for every little thing and that it's ok to ask for help.
I enjoyed the chapter about allowing yourself to be seen as a 'human' by your students is key.
Great book that every new teacher needs to iisten to.

Great book
Being thrown into the world of teaching for the first time can be extremely daunting. This book gives some great tips for new teachers on starting their career, with some insights from someone who has been there, into the unexpected. I really didn’t know what to expect from my first few months and this book has given me some awareness of things I would never have thought about
