Don't let the sample put you off
Not for beginners, you'll get most out of this if you have an intermediate level. I find the narrator's performance is excellent in the exercises (whereas I found her awful in the introduction.). The sentences (which use the word you are learning) are actually really good. I was expecting lower quality generally. A really pleasant surprise!

Wrong Order
Quite a good concept, a shame the Spanish comes before the English, I could learn a lot more if I knew the structure of the sentence before it was said in Spanish.

I love it!
This approach to learning Spanish is very effective. The Spanish language being one of the most popular languages in the world, offers great advantages to it's speakers (native and non-native alike). While, I tried to learn at first using regular PDfs and sometimes by watching Spanish movies without subtitles, I found that my learning was happening; although, at a very slow pace. Within the period I have been following this audiobook, my Spanish has improved by a lot. The vocabulary mastery concept here presents the listener with a lot of words, and their meaning in English. Perhaps the most valuable lesson is on how to pronounce these words. Also, the narrator did a good job introducing the words. A highly recommended resource for new Spanish learners.

A simpler way to learn a language.
It's surprising, but this brute-force approach to learning Spanish actually works. There are around 2000 words covered in this book (who counts this anyway? That is a lot of words), and the plan is to allow the listener expand their current Spanish vocabulary. While this book is targeted at beginners, intermediate learners/speakers of Spanish can also gain a lot from using this book. The words covered are relevant to regular conversations in Spanish, which range from ordering for food, to asking for directions. In all, this is a simple yet effective approach to learning the language.
I received a free copy of this book from the author, and this is my unbiased opinion about it.

Absolutely awful
I got this because I thought it would teach you these words in some sort of way but all the book does is say the word and then puts in a sentence. I don't know anyone who wouldn't switch off after a few minutes of listening to this. It is the first audio book I have purchased and not finished because I was getting nothing from it.

Terrible. Incomprehensible unless your already fluent.
I normally don’t leave reviews but this was extremely bad.
They made a major error with this audiobook.
They say the new words and then provide a sentence/example that uses the new word you have just learned BUT the problem is that they give a VERY long example that you have no idea anything or context. They provide the English afterwards which is pointless.
The should give the new word and a VERY short example of needed to give context. But provide the English first so you know what your about to hear will be and this gives context and allows you to pick up more Spanish words from the example.
After the first few words and examples you will be lost and frustrated at this major mistake they have made.
The don’t provide the English before the example. Meaning you listen to an example sentence having no idea what it’s about. It’s far too long of an example too which makes it very boring to get to the next word. Most pointless book I have ever bought. And I’m not hard to please.
You could make the book work if you rewind it constantly after each example but that is brutal.

Truly awful.
No explanations about conjugations etc or context of words.
I don't mean to sound cruel but her voice and intonation is very patronising. I've wasted 8 quid.
