The Octogenarian is back doing what she does best

With some series by book 12 they start to lose there sparkle, what had once made them so great is just repeated and become predictable. The only reason you still get them is because you remembered you enjoyed them. I am so glad that this is not the case with this series and the series is still as fresh and funny as the first book. The characters are what makes it so much fun and a pleasure to listen to and I just can't get enough. That is not to say you shouldn't expect Wanda, the psychic, to predict that Myrtle's life is in danger or the gnomes not to put in appearance because she is cross with her son or Elaine the daughter in law to be trying a new hobby or even Myrtle to have a disaster in the kitchen but these things are what makes it so entertaining. The mystery was good to because there is plenty of suspects with different motives. I hope the series isn't ending any time soon.
When Myrtle and Miles neighbour doesn't return home from work they join his wife to look for him. Having just finished watching there favourite tv show, when they find his car abandoned at the side of the road they can't help but look in the trunk, well a body was hidden in one on the show. They are surprised to find him stuffed in there and very much dead. The couple are fairly new to the area and don't know anybody, so who would kill him? Myrtle, joined by her sidekick Miles sets out to find the killer after a prediction from Wanda that Myrtle is in danger and Miles needs to take care. They start with the widow but when another neighbour is killed they will need to set there sights higher to find the connection like at the school high school games and the headmaster, even book club could possibly give them some clues. They just need to figure it out before the prediction comes true.
I like the narrator and think she does a good job, whether it is a young or old character she sound just right for that person.
