Enter the world of leprosy in Africa

With clear personal insight, Greene writes brilliantly about the disease leprosy and its impact upon life and its treatment.

Enjoy!

Loved it!! Characters ar great command by author

If you were to explain this novel to the youth today... They would be shocked at old commands that the characters used to regulate their lives. It is all right for a black woman to have children by multiple partner but even a sniff or rumour of infidelity by a European causes a man to be killed. High moral ground. No hope cunning innocents and leprosy. Who are the sinner? Long long before the church mentioned abuse. A no hoper trying to make a fresh start. The absurdity of life, faith and deceit

An unusual story

Any additional comments?

Graham Greene is an excellent writer. I love how his stories have an ending we could never imagine. I can appreciate that his work is not for everyone, but if you are a Greene fan, this is worth a read.

Burnt Out Case

Excellent. My first Graham Green audio book. Wonderful writing and well drawn characters as you would expect from such a writer.

A slow burner, but worth the time...

Took me about 2 hours of listening to get fully into it, but now that I've finished I want to start all over again! Captivating characters that are very relatable, intriguing story and as ever great conversation and questions put out by the characters, as you would expect from
Greene. Great acting too. Overall loved it.
