Growing up in a small village in Ayrshire, Scotland, Drew dreamed of becoming WWE Champion and following in the footsteps of heroes Stone Cold Steve Austin and Undertaker. With his parents' support, he trained and paid his dues, proving himself to tiny crowds in the Butlin's circuit. At age 22, McIntyre made his WWE debut and was touted by none other than WWE Chairman Vince McMahon as 'The Chosen One' who would lead WWE into the future. With his destiny in the palm of his hands, Drew watched it all slip through his fingers.
Through a series of ill-advised choices and family tragedy, Drew's life and career spiralled. As a surefire champ, he struggled under the pressure of expectations and was fired from the company. But the WWE Universe has not seen the last of this promising athlete. Facing a crossroads, this powerful Scotsman set a course to show the world the real Drew McIntyre.
Buoyed by the support of his wife, Kaitlyn, and the memory of his beloved mother, Drew embarked on a mission to recharge, reinvent and revitalise himself to fulfil his destiny. Wonderful and inspiring story.
Really enjoyed this book. Haven't really followed wrestling since the 90s until a friend took me to watch Clash Of The Titans at Cardiff. That has reignited my interest again. Drew you are Legend! no more needs to be said. 👏👏👏

amazing from start to finish
A must read/listen for any wrestling fan, defiantly one of the best wrestling books out there. amazingly witty, sad in parts and overall fantastic book from start to finish

as a fan I loved the book great to hear how drew changed the game and knowing he lived and grew up only a hour away from me and as a massive fan of ICW and knowing about the wrestlers he speaks about like the jester and grado and hearing more about Mark dallas the man the mother the legend made it even better. would love to hear a story about Mark that man would have a great book . a must listen for any fan

Loved it !
I loved every bit of this book. I haven’t been following wrestling too closely recently, but always kept my eye on it and especially Drew.
I loved the book as it told such a good story in such a great way. All the stories and details were brilliant for creating a picture in my head while listening to the book. It was a mixture of serious and funny as well as very motivational the whole way through.
I’d highly recommend this book as it’s a great insight and wonderful story into Drew’s journey. It’s great story of hard-work and determination. Very well told and very well read.
Additional: I remember being a wee boy in Glasgow and watching the small wrestling shows there and my neighbours nephew (Jack Jester) telling me to keep an eye on this superstar and getting me loads of cool signed pictures of him and then I saw him in WWE, so it’s amazing to hear the full details of his journey.
