A classic tale

I loved this reading of A Christmas Carol. Miriam Margoyles' excellent portrayal of all the characters brings the story to life.

An excellent listen during December.

An old favourite tale of redemption

Miriam Margolyes, a student of Dickens, brings flawless narration to the Christmas classic tale of how automatic thinking can become conscious living through the medium of a guilty conscience.

Performance..superb!

I always like to refresh my hope for mankind at this time of year...and live in the hope that maybe some of those who run the UK might be visited by any spirits that may be available and capable of reaching hearts and minds and be able to change them for the better. Miriam Margoyles is always superb ! Her character voices are convincing and her understanding of the writer's intention is without question.

Absolutely brilliant!

The narration of this really can’t be bettered. Perfect listening for Christmas - zips along so quickly I wished that Dickens had written a longer story !

A classic

Love Miriam Margolyes, so this was a joy to listen to. Much better than Hugh Grant's version I have to confess.

Wonderful reading.

Having listened to Miriam Margolyes reading Bleak House I knew this would be good. Her range of voice characters is excellent. This will be a regular listen in ‘Christmas’s yet to come’!
