Summary

The seductive and stunning #1 New York Times bestselling sequel to Sarah J. Maas’s spellbinding A Court of Thorns and Roses. Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

Feyre has undergone more trials than one human woman can carry in her heart. Though she’s now been granted the powers and lifespan of the High Fae, she is haunted by her time Under the Mountain and the terrible deeds she performed to save the lives of Tamlin and his people.

As her marriage to Tamlin approaches, Feyre’s hollowness and nightmares consume her. She finds herself split into two different people: one who upholds her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court, and one who lives out her life in the Spring Court with Tamlin. While Feyre navigates a dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms. She might just be the key to stopping it, but only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world in turmoil.

Bestselling author Sarah J. Maas’s masterful storytelling brings this second audiobook in her dazzling, sexy, action-packed series to new heights.

Good

I had to turn the speed down to 0.85x and then it was perfect, thought they were talking a little fast.

Pretty Good

I had to slow it down to .90 speed. it's a little too fast. Cassian and Azriel's voices don't fit, but I still enjoyed it. Some of the background sounds were too loud over the vocals and the sound for winnowing was kind of awful but otherwise ive really enjoyed the enriching sound effects.

Love the performance!

This is one of my favorite series and this my favorite book in the series! I love this dramatized version, especially the narrators! Their voices are perfect and they bring life to their respective characters! The narrators perfectly capture the spirit of each character and the characters’ interactions!

Love the books and actors, read too fast though

The actress reads this so fast there are no natural pauses, but slowing the speed down results in the audio being warped. I love this, but if it had more natural pauses it wouldn't sound like one GIANT run on sentence,

Wonderful performance!

I loved hearing the voice actors bringing the story to life. They are exactly how I would imagine the characters. The only complaint I had was whenever there is winnowing/any sort of magic the sounds were very cheesy sounding but other than that wonderful performance and story

Just As It Should Be

I love this adaptation and performance so much. I almost feel like I am hearing the story for the first time. The actors playing Rhys and Feyre do an amazing job of conveying the banter I grew to love. Of course my fav part is in part 2 so I am eagerly anticipating that next.

The voices just do not match…

Love this story and was excited for full cast, but the voices just don’t match. Feyre sounds like she’s trying to make everything a sensual whine and Rhys doesn’t have the deep velvet voice he’s described with.

Not thrilled with some of the voices

Cassian's voice is all wrong. It almost has a southern twang to it... what?! Not how I envisioned it at all. And Mor's voice is way deeper and serious - I think someone with a more sing-song cheerful voice would be apt. Amren is closer to what is described in the books. But I loved listening anyway because I'm just a huge fan of ACOTAR.
