Summary
The only thing protecting me from the demons...is the beast. Nyfain, the golden dragon prince, tried to set me free. But there is no freedom in this kingdom. Not for anyone.
The demons have sought me out. They want to trap me. To use me against Nyfain.
It's only a matter of time before they call in the demon king.
Nyfain thinks I should save myself. That I should barter with the demon king to escape this place. But can I give myself to the creature responsible for torturing the people I love?
In order to save them, though, I might not have a choice.

Better than the first
Yes a lot of sex but it matches the animal kingdom side of the people. Lots more feels.

Unhinged to say the least. I love it.
A continuation of book one leads us here and my friends it gets more unhinged if that is even possible.
I love Finley. She's crazy but special.
Nyfain is delicious. Wounded but still delightful, even in his rages.
This world is absolutely bonkers with so much to unravel. So I'm going to keep this one short and sweet.
Nyfain and Finley's relationship is complicated to say the least. There is so much tension. So much chemistry. A whole lot of mixed emotions and for lack of better words .. drama. Then you add in the crazy side characters, a demon king and dungeons and well... it gets messy.
K F Breene has a way with building these worlds and this is certainly no different. I was so invested in the world, in the new discoveries and the many secrets and lies that are woven withing. Then we move on to the characters that are ever evolving and it truly had me locked in.
This is book two in the series and cannot be read as a standalone. Book two gave me everything I needed and despite it being a little more lengthy.. it didn't feel drawn out. Everything felt like it had it's place and was purposeful. I felt everything and was completely invested.
Did I mention how much I laughed?... Honestly my ribs hurt.

Complete heartbreak
This series is mind-blowinginly good, it's funny, intreeging, inspiring and so full of emotions. The ending broke my heart though, but I hope the future will bring me answers to what happens to the characters.
I will now try to exist without the answers to what happens, and cry for the characters fate.

Ah but this one was great. I like the author and most of her books. This series is one of her best ones.

Very good storyline,
Normally would not listen to such explicit language but story overcame the boundaries of such speech.

Thrilling
A thrilling story of fated mates, curses and intense romance. I love the complexity of the characters and the dark and quirky humour threaded throughout the whole story.

A Throne of Ruin
Another great story, with love and heart break having to sacrifice to triumph over Evil. Read brilliantly again by Hollie Hooper.

I need more
Love this series love Finley and Nifain and their bickering . Finley seems to be curing people but now the Demon king is aware somethings going on . I can’t wait for the conclusion I will have to be patient as it doesn’t release until Feb 7th 2022.

Pure capsaicin (Santa, can I please have my own Hadriel?)
Listened! Devoured it! Loved it!
(Disclaimer: if you don’t like spice, this isn’t for you. If you do, this is pure capsaicin)
Gotta say the first book got me feeling a bit sheepish… Throne of Ruin got me hooked!
Enjoyed both, but the second instalment brought forth the best in all characters.
Well, that’s not exactly true, Hadriel has been AMAZING since his first appearance. Love him. Want one!!
The heroine stole my heart and Nyfain…. Well, the soft filling made him an even tastier beast.

Wildly Steamy, Romantic, Raw & Compelling!📙🔥🐎😍
A Throne of Ruin (Deliciously Dark Fairytales, #2)
By: K.F. Breene
Audiobook 🎧
Narrated by: Tillie Hooper
Length: 14 hrs and 10 mins
This book picks up right where AROR left of.
Finley wakes & is mad to discover that Nyfain left before he was fully healed. She's determined to rescue him from himself, no matter what his letter & the hole in her middle says!😢 Here starts some very enjoyable & panty melting, letters with book exchanges between them both.😍🔥
Finely eventually gets back to the castle. She's been missed by Hadriel especially & her maid, Leyla, is so happy to have her back as well.😁 The drafts that she left with them have caused some hilarious revelations. They all fear it will bring the Demon King back to them to find out what's happening though!😳
Nyfain and Finley have made strides in their relationship. She's *very* willing to try new things that intrigue her. Just because she's a strong, independent woman, it doesn't mean she can't enjoy giving up control at times, Will Nyfain be as willing to try the same though?🧐 Feelings are becoming tangled and their animals are very pushy! She's starting to wish they could be mates.💔
Finley tentatively thinks she may have finally found a cure? Well it seems very good at slowing the disease at least.🙏 Then a young girl from a different village shows up at the castle, she's desperate & begs for help. Now we'll meet a side of Finley we've never seen before! Hold on tight.😱💥
This book actually outstripped AROR by one whole star for pace, character development, storyline, steam, tension, angst ... Well everything if I'm honest! So, was I too hasty with my 5 star for AROR? No, I don't think so.🤔 I believe the Author just turned EVERYTHING UP a notch. This is a 5🌟+ read. I was blown away.🤯
From when a certain someone arrives on the scene, it went to *yet another level* again!😲 That ending though .... Agonising.😭💔😭
This narrator deserves medals & statuettes for her ability to bring these varied characters & the often salacious, situations they're found in, to life with her vocal abilities.😍🌟 She had me doubled over laughing at her acting of Hadriel & a few others then squirming during the library scene. This went on throughout the book. The utter heartbreak that she conveyed in the last couple of chapters is sheer gold dust!😭💔 I can't imagine anyone else narrating this series now. Truly & completely compelling and unmissable.🌟🌹🌟
