Story
Lizzie has just arrived in London, determined to make the best of her new life. Her mother may be keen that she should have a nice wedding in the country to a suitable man chosen by her, and Lizzie may be going to cookery school to help her become a good wife...but she definitely wants to have some fun first. It's 1963, and London is beginning to swing as Lizzie cuts her hair, buys a new dress with a fashionably short hemline and moves in with two of her best friends, one of whom lives in a grand but run-down house in Belgravia that has plenty of room for a lodger.

For Grace, a new start could help her move on from a heartbreaking loss. When they meet on Seaglass Beach one day, they form an instant bond and soon they're sharing prosecco, laughter - and even their biggest secrets.

Story
Since the sudden death of her husband, Naomi has steadily rebuilt the life they shared in the village of Tilsham by the sea. Her eldest daughter, Martha, is sensible and determined - just like her father was - and very much in control of where her life is going. If she could just get pregnant with her husband, life would be perfect. Willow, the youngest, was always more sunny and easy-going, yet drifted through life, much to her father’s frustration. But now, with charming new boyfriend Rick, she has a very good reason to settle down.

Caro Swanson has taken a job in a remote part of Scotland. She’s answered an ad in The Lady: being a companion to an elderly gentleman who lives in a country estate could be perfect! Surely it is time to make a change and do something different for a while? The fact that she may also see Alec, the young man whom she met some years previously and whom she has always thought of as her ‘one who got away’, is of course purely incidental. Soon Caro is falling in love - not only with Alec but with the stunning house and grounds she is now living in.

Hetty doesn't mind; at least she can be miserable in private. But 'private' is a relative term in a village which revolves around the big house. Particularly when you are expected to thwart Great Uncle Samuel's awful heir and his nefarious plans for his inheritance. Pitchforked into the community's fight to save the manor, Hetty has no time to wallow.

Story
Run by sisters Rebecca and Delphine, Villa Sesame is a popular venue for small intimate weddings on the sparkling French Riviera. Beautiful terraces and a horizon pool overlooking the Mediterranean, a setting where dreams come true. When recently widowed Delphine unexpectedly announces her desire to retire and live a different life, Rebecca feels her own life could be slipping into free fall. As the guests gather for the June wedding of Freya and Marcus, Freya’s two childhood friends bring their own problems to the villa and cousin Verity has her own agenda.
Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
Late summer, 1963.
Fresh from London and a recent cookery course, Alexandra has always loved a challenge.
Which is why she now finds herself standing outside an imposing chateau in Provence.
Waiting for her inside is three silent, rather hostile children who are to be her charges for the next month.
They will soon be more friendly, she tells herself. All they need is some fun, good food and an English education.
Far more of a challenge though is their father - an impossibly good-looking French count with whom she is rapidly falling in love....
Critic reviews
"The queen of uplifting, feel good romance." (AJ Pearce)
"Effortlessly lovable, warm and fun." (Closer)
"Top-drawer romantic escapism." (Daily Mail)

Love a good Katie FForde. Wish she would write quicker but then they wouldn’t have the quality! I look forward to the next book in the series. This book follows Alexandra and it great. Well read too. Another great read - thanks Katie

A charming listen about love and friendships
A delight for the senses. Beautifully rounded characters, gorgeous food and the the charming setting of 1960s Provence. This is a quick and lovely read full of love and friendships. Everything we expect from Katie Fford. Fans will not be disappointed. I enjoyed watching the characters grow and theire relationships bloom. Family isn't always blood ties, but rather the people we surround ourselves with and open our hearts to. #aweddinginprovence #katiefford #netgalley

Throughly enjoyed this, the characters, the setting, it was a good listen.

Well narrated too.

I really enjoyed her older books but this one was poor. Wooden characters, romance seems to come out of nowhere at the end and cliche themes. It had some good elements that just didn’t go anywhere.

Disappointing
This book is unlike any other I’ve read by KF - more suited to a young Mills & Boon reader. The main character Alexandra was an amazing nanny, a wonderful cook, fluent in French and managed to oversee the renovations of several buildings - quite incredible at 20! Unrealistic and a bit silly.

Best one yet.
I have read and probably listened to every Katie Fforde book.
This book is the best yet, I simply LOVED it, start to finish. As always, you know how it’ll end from early on but that’s the beauty of this type of book, escapism and a wonderful flowing narration.
If there were 10 stars to give, I would!! I’ll listen again on a beach!

Lovely story written without the need to add too much drama or modern relationship dramas. Much appreciated. Lovely way to take one’s mind off
